The first step is acknowledging that you are in a cycle of creating the same situations, So now is the time to say I used to do this or that and change your intent to what you want to go forward with.

It may not happen over night but it will happen and our minds need retraining to get out of old mindset because if life always happens to you it's not happening for you.

Leave your always in future mode. I always get a great idea first thing in the morning. And I do. Give it a go, it's a great lifestyle mindset change that has worked for me.
